Cosmetic Periodontal Procedures

If the appearance of your teeth are short or small you may be a candidate for a cosmetic periodontal procedure. Cosmetic periodontal procedures, such as cosmetic crown lengthening, are done to remove excess gum tissue that make the appearance of your teeth short or your smile to appear “gummy”. With this surgical procedure excess gum tissue and bone is removed and recontoured to give you a fuller smile by exposing more of the natural tooth. Often times Cosmetic periodontal procedures are done in conjunction with the referring
dentist to place veneers or crowns to
improve the overall esthetics of your smile.
